Election 2024: We’ll prevent electoral fraud, voter intimidation – KAIPTC

The Kofi Annan International Peace Training Centre (KAIPTC) is stepping up efforts to ensure peaceful and credible 2024 elections in Ghana.

Air Commodore David Akrong, Deputy Commandant of KAIPTC, emphasized the institution's commitment to combating electoral fraud, vote-buying, and voter intimidation.

Speaking at a training program in Kumasi under the theme “Ghana’s 2024 Elections: Enhancing the Capacity of Women and Youth in Elections,” Air Cdre Akrong revealed that KAIPTC is equipping women and youth as impartial election observers to uphold transparency.

He stressed the critical role of observers in reporting irregularities, preserving democratic integrity, and preventing social unrest, urging participants to remain unbiased in their duties.

The initiative empowers underrepresented groups while promoting a fair electoral process.
