Election 2024: We’re ready for special voting on December 2 – EC

The Electoral Commission (EC) has confirmed its readiness for the Special Voting Exercise scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2024, across 276 centres nationwide.

This exercise enables journalists, security personnel, and other essential workers to vote ahead of the general election on December 7, 2024.

Speaking during a meeting with the National Security Task Force, chaired by IGP Dr. George Akufo-Dampare, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa assured that all arrangements are in place for a smooth process.

For the general election, 95% of ballot papers have been distributed, with biometric verification machines heading to district offices.

Ballot papers for the Northern, Bono, and Bono East regions will be dispatched on November 26, with the remaining regions to follow soon after.
