Over 12,361 voters in the Eastern Region are set to cast their ballots on Thursday, December 5, at special voting centers.
Electoral officials were dispatched Wednesday morning from the Police Regional Headquarters in Koforidua to all 31 constituencies, with party agents present to secure ballot boxes.
Eastern Regional Electoral Commission Director, John Appiah Baffoe, confirmed readiness, noting that ballots for Kwahu Afram Plains North and South were airlifted, while other constituencies will receive theirs Thursday morning.
The special voting, initially set for Monday, was rescheduled after a defaced ballot was discovered in unauthorized hands.
This exercise precedes Saturday’s general elections, ensuring efficient preparations across the region.
