#GhanaPolls2024: NPP, NDC supporters clash at Legon over alleged vote-buying

A dispute erupted on the University of Ghana campus between supporters of NPP incumbent MP Lydia Alhassan and NDC parliamentary candidate John Dumelo over alleged vote-buying activities.

NDC supporters claimed that NPP followers were distributing money to voters at the SRC Union building, prompting one NDC supporter to attempt recording the incident.

This led to a confrontation as NPP supporters demanded the deletion of the footage.

The situation escalated into a heated exchange, further fueled by the arrival of military personnel in two pick-up vehicles, which NDC supporters questioned.

Calm was restored after a meeting between the factions, allowing voting to continue peacefully.
