The National Democratic Congress (NDC) says provisional results from the 2024 general elections indicate a decisive rejection of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) eight-year governance.

Speaking at a press briefing on Sunday, December 8, Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC’s National Communications Director, stated that Ghanaians have overwhelmingly voted against “eight years of corruption, state capture, waste, and economic mismanagement” under President Nana Akufo-Addo.

He emphasized that the election results reflect the public’s demand for change, citing growing dissatisfaction with issues like nepotism and insensitivity in leadership.

While the Electoral Commission is yet to officially declare results, the NDC claims a strong lead in both the presidential and parliamentary contests, positioning the party for a return to power.
