Heavy security at EC G/A office as tense re-collation begins

The Electoral Commission's (EC) Greater Accra Regional office is heavily guarded as officials prepare to re-collate election results for six constituencies.

This follows a High Court directive on December 20, mandating the EC to conclude results for Tema Central, Nsawam-Adoagyir, Ablekuma North, Ahafo Ano North, Techiman South, and Okaikwei Central in strict compliance with electoral laws.

Despite the court's ruling, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has opted out of the process, raising tensions over the critical exercise that will determine parliamentary composition.
