The High Court has directed the Electoral Commission (EC) to recollate and announce results for the Ablekuma North and Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituencies, nullifying previous declarations.
The ruling followed a judicial review initiated by six New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidates, who sought a mandamus order compelling the EC to recollate results in constituencies including Tema Central, Okaikwei Central, and Techiman South.
The candidates also demanded security measures from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to ensure interference-free collation.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) attempted to join the case but was dismissed for lack of sufficient grounds.
Presiding Judge Joseph Adu Owusu Agyeman delivered the ruling amidst irregularities revealed by EC Chairperson Jean Mensa, including missing results from dozens of polling stations in Ablekuma North and Okaikwei Central.
The EC previously annulled results in three constituencies, citing threats and procedural breaches.
