The Coalition of Hygiene Students Ghana has announced plans to boycott the December 7 general elections, citing unresolved challenges faced by interns and National Service personnel.
The group, led by organizer Edmund Asare, expressed frustration over the Ministry of Health and Sanitation’s failure to address their petition despite multiple follow-ups.
“We have not received any response from ministry executives. The minister is reportedly busy campaigning, leaving our issues unattended,” Asare stated.
The coalition warns that if their concerns remain ignored, members may abstain from voting or support opposition parties as a form of protest.
Their grievances reflect growing discontent among environmental health graduates and students, potentially influencing voter turnout in Saturday’s polls.
