Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP flagbearer, has pledged to address key issues facing the Ga state if elected president.
During a visit to the Ga Mantse’s palace on November 28, 2024, Bawumia highlighted challenges such as land disputes, youth unemployment, and the decline of the Ga language.
He promised to tackle land accessibility for indigenes, improve educational opportunities, and promote the teaching of Ga in schools to preserve the language.
Bawumia also introduced his solar-powered outboard motors initiative to support fishermen by eliminating the need for costly premix fuel.
The Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, welcomed Bawumia’s solutions and emphasized the need for a social contract if he wins.
