It’s unacceptable and shameful – Haruna Iddrisu blasts NPP for alleged vote buying

Haruna Iddrisu, the Tamale South MP, has condemned the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for engaging in vote buying during the 2024 elections.

Speaking after casting his vote, Iddrisu accused the NPP of turning elections into a transaction by using money to sway voters. He described this as a violation of electoral laws and a serious affront to democracy.

He cited an incident in Tamale where NPP supporters were chased away for attempting to distribute money to voters.

Iddrisu expressed outrage over the incident, criticizing President Akufo-Addo's leadership for allowing such practices, calling it "unacceptable" and "shameful" for the country’s governance.
