Dr. Kwame Jantuah, a legal practitioner and prominent member of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), has condemned the Electoral Commission's (EC) re-collation of parliamentary results as biased.
The re-collation, conducted in Accra, declared results in seven constituencies favoring the New Patriotic Party (NPP), prompting objections from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which has labeled the process illegal.
Speaking on GHOne TV, Dr. Jantuah questioned the EC’s justification for citing duress without presenting evidence and criticized the perceived bias in its actions.
“The process gives the impression that the EC is aligned with the NPP,” he remarked. He also raised concerns about the role of law enforcement at polling stations, urging transparency in the EC's procedures.
