Mahama: I thank God for preparing a table in the presence of my enemies

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has expressed deep gratitude to God for his re-election and the opportunity to serve Ghana once again.

In his victory speech on December 9, he thanked God for guidance throughout the campaign, quoting scripture and celebrating the NDC's resounding victory.

Mahama secured 56.55% of the vote, with 6,328,397 votes, defeating his main rival, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP, who received 41.61%.

Mahama’s win also saw the NDC securing over 160 parliamentary seats, including key constituencies traditionally held by the NPP, solidifying his mandate as he prepares for his second term.
