Mahama reiterates Jean Mensa’s “It is Finished”

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has drawn a striking parallel between the Electoral Commission's declaration of the 2024 presidential election results and the final words of Jesus Christ on the cross.

Speaking at the Saviour Church of Ghana’s convention in Osiem, he reflected on Electoral Commissioner Jean Mensa’s statement, “It is finished,” likening it to Christ’s declaration signaling the completion of His earthly mission.

Mahama emphasized the symbolism of this phrase, connecting it to the decisive end of an era and the dawn of a new chapter for Ghana. He expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their overwhelming support, pledging to reset the nation and restore its foundational principles inspired by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

“We must unite to rebuild Ghana,” he urged, envisioning a future of development and self-reliance.
