Former President and NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama visited the Ga Mantse’s Palace as part of his Greater Accra Region campaign tour, receiving a warm welcome from King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II and the Ga Traditional Council.

Mahama praised the council’s cultural heritage and stressed the importance of traditional authorities in governance and development.

He emphasized the role of traditional festivals in promoting cultural tourism, boosting local economies, and showcasing Ghana’s heritage globally.

Highlighting NDC’s Resetting Ghana manifesto, Mahama proposed greater representation for traditional leaders in decentralized governance to address community needs effectively.

Describing chiefs as custodians of Ghana’s heritage, he pledged to strengthen collaborations with them nationwide to foster inclusive governance and advance local development.
