Mike Oquaye Jnr denies conceding defeat in Dome Kwabenya election

Mike Oquaye Jnr, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate for Dome Kwabenya, has denied claims that he conceded defeat in the December 7th general elections.

In a statement from his communications team, Oquaye Jnr clarified that a viral video circulating on social media, which many believed showed him conceding, was actually from a 2020 interview during the NPP's parliamentary primaries.

He explained that the video, recorded during the COVID-19 era, had been misrepresented and urged the public to disregard the false information.

Oquaye Jnr emphasized that no such concession was made regarding the 2024 election results.
