North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has called on National Democratic Congress (NDC) members to focus on supporting President-elect John Dramani Mahama's administration, warning that any premature 2028 succession ambitions could jeopardize the party's future.
Ablakwa stressed the need for a collective effort to ensure the Mahama/Jane Opoku-Agyemang presidency delivers on campaign promises, emphasizing integrity, competence, and hard work.
Meanwhile, Mahama has highlighted Ghana's severe economic challenges left by the outgoing Akufo-Addo administration, vowing governance reforms despite the tough road ahead.
President Akufo-Addo has congratulated Mahama, committing to a smooth transition on January 7, 2025.
The gesture reflects Ghana’s strength in democracy and sets the stage for political collaboration in addressing national challenges.
