NDC dismisses claims of security service dismissals

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dismissed allegations that it plans to dismiss security officers or review recruitments if it wins the December elections.

NDC Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi labeled the claims as part of a "disinformation campaign" by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to mislead the public.

Gyamfi clarified that a resurfaced 2020 video was misinterpreted.

He explained the comments targeted NPP operatives disguised in military uniforms who attacked civilians during the Banda voter registration exercise, not Ghana’s security personnel.

The NDC emphasized its respect for the nation’s security forces and called for swift investigations into the fake reports, urging the public to disregard them.
