The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has rejected the Electoral Commission’s (EC) call for a rerun at the Abokobi Women’s Development Centre 2 polling station in Dome Kwabenya.
The EC cited the absence of a pink sheet, a key document summarizing results, as the reason for its decision.
NDC Deputy Director of Elections Rashid Tanko Computer insists their candidate, Elikplim Akurugu, has already secured victory with a margin of 1,154 votes, far exceeding the 689 registered voters at the contested polling station.
He criticized the EC for errors and questioned the need for a rerun.
The EC, however, maintains that procedural irregularities require a rerun, sparking a heated debate over the constituency's final outcome.
