The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced plans to challenge the outcomes of the re-collated constituency results for Techiman South, Okaikwei Central, and Tema Central constituencies, which were declared in favor of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Following a High Court directive on January 2, the Electoral Commission (EC) was ordered to finalize the collation of results for these areas.
In a press conference on January 7, Dr. Rashid Tanko Computer, the NDC’s Deputy Director of IT and Elections, expressed the party’s dissatisfaction with the results, calling the EC’s actions a “charade.”
He revealed that the NDC would file an appeal and a stay of execution, vowing to challenge the declaration of the NPP’s MPs in court.
