The Electoral Commission (EC) has clarified that issues with ballot paper serialisation were identified solely by the EC Team at the Printing House and confirmed by the Commission's Audit Department, without any input from political parties.
According to the EC, none of the political parties, including their agents who were present during the printing process, raised concerns about the serialisation challenges.
The Commission emphasized that the decision to reprint ballots for the Ahafo and Volta regions was entirely based on internal reports from the EC Team and its Audit Department.
Responding to speculation on whether the reprint was prompted by a report from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the EC reiterated that no political party alerted them to these issues.
