The One Ghana Movement is urging the government to reverse its decision to close all land borders ahead of the 2024 elections, calling the move discriminatory and unconstitutional.
The group argues that the closure prevents citizens who are traveling by road from exercising their right to vote, while those flying into the country face no such restrictions.
They warn that this could disenfranchise voters and potentially lead to legal challenges against the election results.
The Movement also expressed concerns over the Ashanti Regional Security Council’s press release, which they believe unlawfully restricts media monitoring of the elections.
They have called for fair and transparent elections and urged authorities to uphold Ghana’s democratic process.
