The President of the Oti Regional House of Chiefs, Nana Soglo Alloh IV, has commended Ghanaians for the peaceful conduct of the December 7, 2024, general elections.
In a statement, he congratulated President-elect John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on their decisive victory and assured the support of the Oti Chiefs for upcoming policies and programs.
Nana Soglo Alloh IV also praised Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the outgoing Vice President and NPP presidential candidate, for his prompt concession, which helped maintain national peace.
Addressing recent violence, he condemned an attack on Catholic priests in Jasikan, urging party leaders to curb such actions and the police to prosecute offenders.
The Chiefs remain committed to fostering national unity ahead of the January 7, 2025, handover.
