Patrick Boamah retains Okaikwei Central seat after re-collation

Patrick Yaw Boamah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, has reclaimed victory in the Okaikwei Central parliamentary race following a re-collation exercise at the Greater Accra Regional Office of the Electoral Commission.

The re-collation reversed an earlier announcement declaring the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Baba Sadiq, as the winner.

Boamah secured 21,099 votes against Sadiq's 19,368, solidifying his hold on the seat.

This development comes amid a series of re-collation exercises mandated by the Accra High Court to resolve disputes in several constituencies, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the results.
