Ernest Adomako, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Okaikoi South, has alleged repeated police interference in his efforts to repair roads and railway infrastructure in Avenor.
Speaking on Onua FM, Adomako expressed frustration over the poor state of the roads, which he said has forced many drivers to avoid the route.
He recalled two instances—one involving an attempt to fix damaged gutters in 2022, where he claimed members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) halted his work, citing allocated municipal funds for repairs.
In 2023, while attempting another repair, Adomako said police officers intervened and stopped the project despite his hiring of equipment for the task.
"I have video evidence showing these incidents," Adomako stated, calling attention to the challenges faced in addressing local infrastructure issues.
