Positions of candidates on ballot paper remain unchanged – EC

The Electoral Commission (EC) has affirmed that the positions of candidates on the 2024 Presidential Election Ballot Paper remain unchanged.

The Commission dismissed circulating fake stories suggesting otherwise, urging the public to disregard them.

Special voting commenced on Monday, December 2, across 14 regions, with 131,478 eligible voters expected to cast their ballots. The Eastern and Western Regions were excluded due to issues with defaced ballot papers, now set for a December 5 reprint.

The exercise, tailored for election officials, security personnel, and media practitioners, aims to ensure they fulfill their civic duties while performing election-related tasks on December 7.

The EC assured transparency and announced that results from the special voting would only be declared after the general election.
