Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has called the recent elections a “remarkable” political statement against mismanagement.
Speaking to TV3, Mr. Ablakwa criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for what he termed “reckless” governance, pointing to the $58 million National Cathedral project as an emblem of wasteful spending.
He condemned the prioritization of the project over unpaid salaries for government workers and NABCO beneficiaries, calling it a betrayal of public trust.
“The people gave you power to serve, not to loot or impoverish them,” he stated.
Mr. Ablakwa emphasized that the election results send a clear message against corruption and exploitation, underscoring citizens’ demand for accountability and responsible leadership.
