Former President and NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has called on security personnel and media workers participating in today’s special voting to view their role as pivotal in shaping Ghana’s future.

Speaking at a rally at Kumasi's Jubilee Park on December 1, Mahama likened early voting to taking a decisive penalty kick in Ghana’s democratic journey.

“Special voters have a unique responsibility to lead the change Ghanaians are striving for,” he said, encouraging them to see their ballots as the first step toward progress ahead of the December 7 general elections.

The special voting exercise allows essential workers—security personnel, journalists, and election officials—to vote early, ensuring their availability on Election Day.

Participants expressed empowerment by Mahama’s message, recognizing their role in setting the tone for a landmark election.
