Solomon Owusu, a prominent member of the Movement for Change, has accused Lydia Seyram Alhassan, an MP, of distributing food made from expired "Moshosho" rice infested with maggots during the December 2, 2024, special voting exercise.
Viral footage showed Alhassan sharing meals with voters and security personnel in a polling queue.
Owusu claims his research reveals the NPP stored this expired rice for electoral purposes, warning recipients to seek medical tests urgently.
He further criticized security personnel for lacking discretion and alleged attempts to manipulate voters.
This accusation has sparked public outcry, adding tension as the December 7 elections approach.
Alhassan has yet to respond to the allegations.
God needs a lawyer on earth because we abuse the name of God. Lydia Alhassan committed a crime yet mentioned God - Solomon Owusu#TV3NewDay #ElectionCommandCentre
