Dan Botwe, the National Chairman of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's campaign team, has dismissed the large crowd at John Dramani Mahama's rally in the Ashanti Region, stating that it poses no threat to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mahama had expressed excitement over the huge turnout, believing it signals his potential victory in the upcoming election.
However, Botwe downplayed the significance, recalling similar large crowds at NDC rallies in 1992 and 1996 that did not influence the election results.
He added that the NPP was not intimidated by Mahama’s supporters, as the Ashanti Region is home to a substantial NDC base, and emphasized that Dr. Bawumia's message has resonated with voters across constituencies.
