Former Attorney General Martin Amidu has urged Ghanaians to reject NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as a “clone” and “poodle” of President Nana Akufo-Addo. Amidu claims Bawumia was groomed to protect the president’s “create, loot, and share” governance approach.

“Bawumia has been molded in Akufo-Addo’s image, ensuring his regime's legacy remains shielded from audits,” Amidu stated in his latest epistle.

Endorsing John Mahama, Amidu noted, “Mahama is not a saint, but he has the experience to audit the mess left by Akufo-Addo/Bawumia’s government.”

He urged voters to prioritize probity and accountability by electing Mahama, adding, “The 1992 Constitution opposes governance through cronyism.”

Amidu further criticized Bawumia’s character, calling him an “opportunist” lacking the moral integrity of Northern Ghana’s forebears.
