While voting proceeded smoothly at many polling stations across Ghana, confusion erupted at the Laterbiokorshie Methodist Church polling station when a voter was caught photographing his thumb-printed ballot, Graphic Online reports.
This action violates election rules and caused a disruption at the station.
Meanwhile, at the NAFTI La 1 & 2 polling stations in the La Dadekotopon Constituency, voting started without incident.
Presiding Officer Jonas Neequaye Kotei confirmed that the stations were set up by 6:05 a.m., and voting began promptly at 7:02 a.m.
Voter turnout has been steady, with around 495 registered voters at the station.
Voters like Bernard Odai Aidoo expressed their satisfaction with the process, noting smooth operations despite a slight traffic congestion in the central business district.
