Both the Presiding Officer and party agents explained that this was not allowed under election rules
At Bortianor Methodist Primary Centre 2A, a voter accidentally placed an unmarked parliamentary ballot paper into the box and requested a replacement after realizing the mistake.
However, the request was denied, with officials explaining that issuing a new ballot would result in over-voting.
The voter, who had already cast their presidential vote, admitted the error and asked for a new parliamentary ballot.
Both the Presiding Officer and party agents explained that this was not allowed under election rules.
Despite this incident, voting at both Centre 2A and nearby Centre B proceeded smoothly after the polls opened at 7 a.m.
Each centre had 429 expected voters.
