Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, MP-elect for Awutu Senya East, has called on the police to fast-track investigations into a fatal shooting during the 2024 elections.
She stressed the need for justice, saying, "A life has been taken, and justice must be served."
Naa Koryoo acknowledged the police's cooperation and confirmed her active role in supporting their efforts. However, she refrained from disclosing further details due to the ongoing investigation.
The incident, which occurred on election day, left one person dead, highlighting concerns over electoral violence.
President-elect John Mahama has assured Ghanaians that such incidents will be thoroughly investigated, with perpetrators held accountable to ensure justice and prevent future occurrences.
