Napo breaks ground for NHIA district office construction at Manhyia

Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, NPP Vice Presidential Candidate and MP for Manhyia South, has initiated the construction of a National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) District Office in Manhyia, Ashanti Region.

The project, launched on Wednesday, aims to improve access to NHIS services for residents, particularly vulnerable groups, who currently travel long distances for healthcare. Dr. Opoku Prempeh noted that the facility will ease pressure on nearby insurance schemes and boost NHIS registration.

Deputy NHIA CEO Louisa Atta-Agyemang highlighted the office's role in enhancing service delivery. She assured the public of the NHIA’s commitment to making the center efficient and client-focused.

Traditional authorities were commended for providing centrally located land to ensure accessibility.
