Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo has called on Ghanaians to focus on competence rather than religious affiliations in the upcoming general elections.
Speaking at a Dr. Bawumia Youth Connect rally in Effigyase-Asokore, Ashanti Region, she championed Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the ideal leader for Ghana.
Rejecting religious propaganda, Mrs. Safo decried claims that Dr. Bawumia’s Muslim faith should disqualify him, emphasizing the shared Abrahamic roots of Christianity and Islam. She described Dr. Bawumia as a visionary leader with a track record of delivering transformative policies like Free SHS.
Highlighting the role of women and youth, Mrs. Safo urged their support for Dr. Bawumia and Dome-Kwabenya parliamentary candidate Dr. Ayew Afriyie, assuring women of empowerment initiatives under an NPP-led government.
