The Supreme Court will on Friday, December 27, hear the National Democratic Congress (NDC) application challenging a High Court order directing the Electoral Commission (EC) to re-collate parliamentary results in six constituencies.
The affected constituencies include Tema Central, Nsawam-Adoagyir, Ablekuma North, Ahafo Ano North, Techiman South, and Okaikwei Central.
The High Court ruling, delivered on December 20, also instructed the Inspector-General of Police to ensure security at the collation centres.
The NDC argues that the High Court breached natural justice by not giving its candidates a hearing before granting the orders. They are seeking a certiorari to overturn the decision.
The EC has already re-collated results for seven constituencies, with the NPP winning all declared seats so far. Two more constituencies remain pending.
