The Eastern Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has urged President Akufo-Addo to halt the ongoing transition process until the Electoral Commission (EC) declares results in four contested constituencies—Suhum, Nsawam/Adoagyiri, Akwatia, and Fanteakwa North—in their favor.
NPP's regional chairman, Jeffery Konadu Addo, asserted that their internal collation system, based on pink sheets from polling stations, confirms their victory in these areas.
The NPP has already secured multiple parliamentary seats in the region but raised concerns over alleged violence and intimidation by NDC supporters.
The party urged the EC to expedite the results and called on security agencies to ensure peace.
NPP reassured its supporters of its commitment to protecting their electoral gains.
