Ahafo Ano South-West: Angry NDC youth destroy party assets over parliamentary results

In a shocking act of protest, youth from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ahafo Ano South West constituency set fire to party assets, including furniture and a television, in Mankranso, asaaseradio.com reports.

The attack, which occurred on Sunday, stems from their belief that their candidate, Sedik Abubakar, was robbed of victory in the fiercely contested parliamentary race.

The group accuses the party leadership of conceding defeat to NPP’s Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah, who won by a narrow margin of 140 votes.

The enraged youth have threatened violence against any party officials who visit the area, further escalating tensions over the December 2024 election results.
