Former NPP Deputy General Secretary, Nana Obiri Boahen, has raised concerns over the decision by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) to hold their final rallies on the same day in Greater Accra, at nearby locations.
Speaking on Rainbow Radio, Mr. Boahen criticized the arrangement, calling it a poor security decision that could lead to clashes between supporters. He urged security agencies to intervene, suggesting one party should relocate or reschedule their rally to ensure public safety.
“We must prioritize security,” he said, adding that the National Security Ministry should engage both parties to reach a compromise.
Mr. Boahen emphasized the need for firm action to avoid any potential unrest during the rallies.
