Entrepreneur-turned-politician Baba Sadiq remains confident despite conflicting reports over the Okaikwei Central parliamentary election results.
Sadiq, representing the NDC, declared victory based on his collation, showing 21,303 votes (52%) against NPP incumbent Patrick Yaw Boamah’s 18,951 votes (47.08%).
However, media outlets have reported a contrasting outcome, suggesting Boamah won with 20,229 votes over Sadiq’s 18,783.
Dismissing these projections as unfounded, Sadiq emphasized that his figures are based on verified pink sheets, reflecting the electorate's true decision. He called on Boamah to accept defeat gracefully.
The apparent discrepancies have heightened tensions in the constituency, with both sides awaiting the Electoral Commission’s formal declaration to resolve the uncertainty.
