Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has accused Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of failing to take responsibility for the challenges facing Ghana under the Akufo-Addo administration.
Speaking on TV3’s KeyPoints on November 30, 2024, Dr. Kennedy likened Bawumia’s stance to an insect polluting a river upstream while questioning its cleanliness downstream. He criticized Bawumia for attempting to dissociate himself from policies he previously championed, despite being hailed as the “most consequential Vice President.”
With the general elections approaching, Dr. Kennedy urged Ghanaians to consider the leadership record of the NPP and emphasized the need for institutional reforms to ensure progress, accountability, and credible elections.
