President-elect John Dramani Mahama has urged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to refrain from acts of vandalism following his victory in the 2024 elections.
He condemned reports of destruction at government facilities by some party supporters, urging them to avoid criminal behavior.
In his victory speech, Mahama called for unity and productive efforts, encouraging his supporters to channel their emotions into rebuilding the nation.
He emphasized the responsibility of office and the high expectations of Ghanaians, advising brief celebrations.
Mahama praised the resilience of NDC supporters, stressing that change is not only possible but already underway.
The Electoral Commission confirmed Mahama’s win with 56.55% of the vote.
