A commotion broke out at the Akurem Junior High School polling station in the Asawase constituency when members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) raised objections over Manaf Ibrahim, the Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), joining the voting queue.

Normally, candidates are allowed to bypass the line, but Manaf Ibrahim chose to wait with regular voters instead, wanting to experience the process as an ordinary citizen and connect with his constituents.

The unusual decision sparked a dispute, with NDC members questioning his presence in the line.

Despite the unrest, the situation was eventually contained, and voting continued smoothly.
