Ahead of Ghana's December 7 elections, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Council of Elders reaffirmed the party's commitment to a peaceful election while expressing concerns about the ruling government's integrity.

Chairman Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu urged vigilance and unity, emphasizing the need for free and fair elections.

The NDC criticized the government's commitment to peace, citing past incidents of electoral violence and accusing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of using state resources to manipulate voter outcomes.

The NDC also raised concerns about the Electoral Commission's transparency and called for an end to the use of vigilante groups to intimidate voters.

The party is intensifying voter education and mobilizing support to ensure that Ghanaians' will is respected.
