Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has called on New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters to avoid blame games following the party’s election defeat, cautioning that such actions could harm unity.
Speaking to party executives in Klottey Korley, Dr. Bawumia attributed the loss to voter apathy rather than the National Democratic Congress (NDC) improving its performance.
He highlighted that the NPP's vote share dropped by 40% compared to 2020, effectively handing victory to the NDC. “United we stand, divided we fall,” he stressed, urging members to focus on rebuilding the party rather than pursuing personal ambitions.
Dr. Bawumia encouraged supporters to look forward with faith and determination, expressing confidence in the party’s future success.
“We lost a battle, not the war,” he reassured.
