EC suspends collation of Ablekuma North Constituency results over discrepancies

The Electoral Commission (EC) has indefinitely halted the collation of results for the Ablekuma North constituency in the Greater Accra Region due to discrepancies in results from 20 polling stations.

The returning officer explained that an additional 24 hours are required to validate these figures before a winner can be declared.

While 42 of the 62 outstanding polling stations have been resolved, the remaining discrepancies have delayed the final outcome.

In contrast, the collation processes for the Tema Central, Okaikwei Central, and Techiman South constituencies have been completed, with all three seats won by New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidates.

The dispute over Ablekuma North's results remains contentious, with both the NDC and NPP claiming victory amid heightened political tension.
