Ebi Bright takes Charles Forson to Supreme Court over Tema Central victory

Ebi Bright, the 2020 National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Tema Central, has filed a petition at the Supreme Court contesting the election of Charles Forson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 polls.

In her petition, she claims irregularities in the Electoral Commission's tally led to Forson being wrongfully declared the winner.

Ebi Bright has called for the declaration to be annulled or for a re-run of the election in the constituency.

She further alleges interference by NPP polling agents during the collation process at the Chemu SHS center, compromising transparency and fairness.

Her legal team is seeking a Supreme Court ruling to ensure justice for the electorate, with respondents given eight days to file their defense.
