Election 2024: I’ll accept results only if process is fair, transparent – Mahama

Ahead of the December 7 General Election, John Dramani Mahama, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has made it clear that he will only accept the election results if the process is transparent and credible.

In an exclusive interview with the BBC, Mahama raised concerns about the fairness of the electoral process, stating he would reject the outcome if it were marred by violence or irregularities.

He emphasized the importance of a free and fair election, stressing that the integrity of the process is vital for Ghana’s democracy.

Mahama warned that any election day violence, such as ballot snatching or military intimidation, would make it impossible for him to accept the results.
