Election: We’ve installed superior counter-rigging machinery – NDC

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region has issued a strong warning against any attempts to rig the 2024 general election, vowing serious consequences for perpetrators.

Regional Communications Officer, Abass Nuredeen, revealed on Nhyira FM that the party has implemented counter-rigging strategies and is closely monitoring electoral officials and their collaborators to ensure a transparent process.

Nuredeen accused some electoral officers of irregularities during the special voting exercise and alleged plans to transport illegal ballot papers using ambulances and bullion vans.

“We have surveillance on such movements and will not spare anyone involved,” he cautioned.

He urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to address past misconduct, prevent delays in delivering materials to NDC strongholds, and ensure officials are impartial, warning against employing ruling party sympathizers.
