Tamale Central MP, Hon. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, has called for the prosecution of leaders who misappropriated Ghana’s resources, emphasizing that political leadership should prioritize service over exploitation.
Speaking to the media, he condemned the outgoing government for corruption and mismanagement, which he said had worsened the lives of Ghanaians.
He urged accountability, stating, “Those who plundered this country’s resources must face the full rigors of the law.” Highlighting economic challenges, he criticized the rise in unemployment from 8.4% under the NDC to an estimated 16-17% under the NPP.
Murtala praised voters for backing the NDC, crediting their support for rejecting corruption.
He expressed gratitude to Tamale Central voters, including NPP supporters, vowing to continue serving their needs with dedication and humility.
